Travel Camp Instructor/Surf Instructor

Ryan is currently a senior at UNCW majoring in Marine Biology and minoring in environmental science. Ever since his uncle gave him a surfboard at the young age of 10 he has been an avid surfer. Ryan takes advantage of every opportunity to get in the water to enjoy life to the fullest. He has surfed the east coast from New Jersey down to Florida. Always the environmentalist you can catch Ryan picking up other peoples trash on a daily basis. "If everyone could simply pick up one piece of trash every time they go to the beach, just think about the impact that we would have on a cleaner environment" says Ryan.

He is also grateful for what surfing has done for him and realizes the importance of giving back to Mother Ocean. Ryan excels at and enjoys his job at Surf Camp, giving back to people while instilling a conservation ethic is so important so that future generations may enjoy the ultimate pleasures that surfing brings him. "I simply can not believe that I get paid to work at Surf Camp, Says Ryan!
