Matt Stevens
Certified Surf Instructor

Matt grew up in Wilson, North Carolina, about two hours from the coast. He has loved the ocean since he can remember.

 Matt surfed for the first time in New Symrna Beach, Florida, at age 16. Since then, he has aspired to live on the coast for the rest of his life. Matt has enjoyed surfing in Puerto Rico, the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Florida, and California.

When Matt is not surfing, he enjoys playing soccer and swimming. Matt will finish up at University of North Carolina at Wilmington in the spring of 2009, graduating with a degree in Geography and a Certificate in GIS.

As a returning instructor, Matt hopes for twice the thrills of last summer and can’t wait to help everyone at camp catch the perfect ride.
