Jamie Crutchfield
Certified Surf Instructor

Jamie grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, in a family of surfers, sailors, and fisherman. She began competitive surfing at age 13 and relished her family surf trips to Costa Rica and islands in the Caribbean. The passion she and her father shared for the ocean was strengthened in Jamie when she lost him to cancer in 2000.

She moved to Hawaii in 2005 where she attended the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and deepened her understanding of the fragile nature of island ecosystems and sustainability practices. She is now a senior at UNCW Wilmington and finishing her degree in English. She enjoys practicing Yoga and meeting new people.
