Chelsea’s first experience riding waves came shortly after she started with Surf Camp in February of 2007.  The smile that lit up her face as she rode that first wave will never be forgotten!  Chelsea firmly believes there is no time like the present to accomplish whatever your heart desires, and no matter what age you are, you are the perfect age for learning how to surf! 

Chelsea has always enjoyed spending time with children, and at the young age of 11 she started her own babysitting service.  She is thrilled to have the opportunity to speak with parents and kids every day, helping them make decisions about their summer plans and giving them guidance as to which adventure is right for them.

Her passion for the outdoors coupled with her dedication to the environment makes Chelsea a perfect ambassador for Surf Camp.  Chelsea and her husband, Jason, are avid gardeners, and they have created an oasis around their home, irrigating with rain water and growing their own organic herbs and vegetables.  She has always had a passion for the environment, having owned her own landscaping business in Richmond, VA before she and Jason made the move to Wilmington over ten years ago.  Chelsea loves to read, and is now studying to figure out what kind of insects are attacking her tomato plants!  She is committed to staying healthy and she exercises and practices yoga regularly.  On many a morning, Chelsea can be found in the pre-dawn hours going for a run or walking her dogs, looking forward to what the new day will bring!
