Brian’s experience with surfing and the ocean began at an extremely young age.His love for the sport has become a passion and Brian takesadvantage of the surf any chance he gets. At age 13, he entered his first contest has since participated in and been sponsored for many surf competitions.
Surfing has carried Brian all over the world, including locations such as New Zealand, Peru, Costa Rica, Samoa, Puerto Rico, and Washington to Baja. His natural comfort in the ocean led Brian to begin working in the fields of Ocean Rescue and Lifesaving. For both of these areas he excelled quickly. After three years on the job and numerous intense rescues, Brian was promoted to supervisor of the Lifeguard in Training program. During this position Brian taught kids, ages 8-15, about ocean safety and lifesaving techniques.
Brian’s deep love for the ocean and our beaches also led him to spend a semester abroad in New Zealand, where his knowledge of conservation ecology was broadened even further. He is now taking his studies to the next level and is working towards his Masters Degree in Architecture, with plans of focusing on the green building industry. You can be sure that wherever life leads him, Brian lifelong passion for surfing and our oceans will always be with him.
