Marissa Walch
Certified Surf Instructor

Marissa started calling Wilmington, North Carolina home after the amazing experience she had as a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Growing up on Lake Norman, she made easy work of the transition from cool, fresh water to the warm, salty waters off the coast.

Always an active individual, Marissa plays sports, surfs, runs, practices yoga, and is an exercise instructor. She thrives on catching surf and in being near the ocean in general.

Marissa feels strongly about protecting and preserving our oceans and the environment. In fact, she dedicates her time to organizations whose focus is on ocean conservancy, including the Surfrider Foundation. She even spent a season at the Surfrider’s national headquarters in San Clemente, California. Her ambition and motivation is a source of true leadership to those she encounters and with whom she works.
