Kate Murray
Certified Surf Instructor

Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Kate moved to South Carolina for college where she attended The College of Charleston. She graduated with degrees in Spanish and Hospitality and Tourism Management. An outdoor lover, Kate enjoys exploring different cultures, painting, youth mentoring, and anything involving the ocean.

Since she first picked up a surfboard, Kate dreamt of traveling the world to surf and expand coastal conservation and awareness. In pursuit of that dream, she lived in Costa Rica for several months, improving her Spanish, furthering her education, and of course, squeezing in some time for surfing!

After completing her travels, Kate is back home in North Carolina, pursuing her dream of surf instruction and adventure, all while teaching the importance of preserving our coastal marine life. She is excited to be back in the warm waters of the Carolinas, and she looks forward to helping others fall in love with the incredible sport of surfing.
